St. Dominic Parish

New Orleans, Louisiana

"Come to me all of you who are weary

and find life burdensome and I will refresh you"

                                                        (Mt 11:28)

St. Dominic Parish invites all parishioners to commit one hour a week with Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.  This means that the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and the Chapel is available to us for quiet prayer whenever we need it.  The current pace of life in the 21st century is sometime too much for many of us to handle.  As we rush from one task to the next we often lose sight of what is really important in our lives.  Many of us don't take time to pray and may even feel like we don't know how to pray.  We can let Jesus teach us how to pray by spending a quiet hour in His Eucharistic presence.  One young mother of three who recently began spending time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration shared the following thoughts; "I have never experienced anything like Eucharistic Adoration in my lifetime.  I truly feel the presence of God while I am there.  It has taught me how to pray and given me a place to go with God when I can't cope with life.  The time I have gone I was truly overwhelmed with God's love.  It has changed my relationship with God forever."

Update on  Hours

Our Adoration Chapel opens weekly on Sundays, from 3 a.m. through 10 a.m. It reopens at noon on Sundays, and remains open all week through midnight, on Saturdays (closes at midnight).

To become a truly Perpetual Adoration Chapel we only have 5 hours of adoration open to be filled, which will then have us continuously worshiping, praising and adoring Our Lord, just as is done in heaven.

A committed adorer is still needed for:

Sundays at 12 a.m. (late Saturday night), 1 a.m., 2 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m.

Also, a partner is wanted to share the commitment for any one of the following hours:

Sundays at 3 p.m.

Mondays at 9 a.m.

Wednesdays at 11 a.m., and 9 p.m.

Thursdays at 2 p.m.

Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

If you or someone that you know may be interested in one of these hours, please let us know.

You may contact us at: StDominic@AdorationServants.org by email, or phone us at 494-4787 (Mic) or 486-7521 (Melinda).

All are welcome to come and adore Him during any of these hours.

Let our Adoration Never Cease!
